The Co-op was formed in 1994 and is registered as an Industrial and Provident Society. The Co-operative is governed by a written Constitution as incorporated in it's Management Agreement. These are carried out by a Board of representatives and a full complimentary of housing staff that are all fully trained.

Our estate

The Co-op and its Board oversees the delivery of services and are accountable in every sense to its members.

Services:

The services we provide in our capacity as a TMO to our residents are:

Rent arrears management, repairs, cleaning and caretaking, grounds maintenance, security and car parking.

We also offer support to all residents so that they can enjoy their tenancy and live independently and free from nuisance in their home. All residents are members of the Co-operative and therefore have a part in the decision making process of the Co-operative.

Our estate:

We ensure that all communal areas and estate grounds are kept clean and tidy and free from all risks. All members and staff are responsible for monitoring the standards and carry out health and safety checks to the playgrounds.

All cleaning and repairs are carried out by the Co-op own staff.

Grounds maintenance on the estate is carried out by Nurturelandscapes.

Estate security is carried out by Advanced Digital Security Limited.

Lift maintenance is provided by Thyssen via BHP and all communal lighting by Jaylec Electrical Limited also via BHP.

Activities and opportunities:

The Co-op also provides a list of opportunities for all of its residents, to enhance participation and inclusion - the elderly and the young through the use of its community hall. These services include a day centre where the elderly can attend for a chat, coffee and pass the time sharing life experiences.

This is managed by volunteers from amongst the residents. The Co-op also provides an after school project and summer play scheme for the young and a language class in Arabic. In the near future advice surgeries will be added to this complimentary service. The Co-op has an annual day trip for all of its residents and a summer BBQ.

Meetings:

We hold regular meetings and all residents are welcome. We have at least two General Meetings each year and a regulatory Annual General Meeting. We also hold at least three Board Committee meetings each month.
